JIBS is involved in liaison with many groups and organisations. We work with information providers via our enhancement groups; with working groups; and with other organisations such as those listed below:
EDINA
EDINA is the JISC national academic data centre based at the University of Edinburgh. Their mission and purpose is to ‘enhance the productivity of research, learning and teaching’ across all universities, research institutes and colleges in the UK
Eduserv
Eduserv is a not-for-profit professional IT services group, offering leading edge technology to education Institutions and public sector bodies. Current services include Access and identity management (Athens) and E-resource framework agreements for education (Chest)
JISC Collections Academic Database Assessment Tool
This database assessment site aims to help libraries to make informed decisions about future subscriptions to bibliographic databases. The site provides access to detailed information and title lists for 15 major bibliographic and citation databases, and key service information for 8 major content platforms.
JORUM
JORUM is a free online repository service for teaching and support staff in UK Further and Higher Education Institutions, helping to build a community for the sharing, reuse and repurposing of learning and teaching materials
MIMAS
MIMAS is a JISC and ESRC-supported national data centre providing the UK higher education, further education and research community with networked access to key data and information resources to support teaching, learning and research across a wide range of disciplines.
MUDL (Managing and Understanding Data in Libraries)
NESLi2
NESLi2 is the UK’s national initiative for the licensing of electronic journals on behalf of the higher and further education and research communities. NESLi2 is a product of the JISC and underwritten by the Higher Education Funding Council for England on behalf of the Funding Bodies
